An important message for student authors:

Please make sure you are using the Mozilla Firefox browser when authoring this site! It is highly not recommended to use any version of Internet Explorer!

Please be thoughtful when creating new pages. If you are not careful, it is easy to create a page and then forget to create a link to the page (a so-called orphan page). Because of this, it is a good policy to first create the link (resulting in a so-called wanted page) and then create the page itself. This also makes sense from the standpoint that a page is only created when there is an actual need (and hence a link is created). Of course, there are times when it may make sense to create and author an orphan page, but one must be very careful to remember that such a page has already been created. This can be very difficult to do with multiple authors. Also, it is very easy to create multiple versions of the same page, particularly when there are multiple authors involved. One way around this is to view the "list all pages" link before creating a new link to see if there is already an existing page available.

Also, please keep in mind that one of the main reasons for creating this site is so that the physics community has a resource that is useful. As such, it is important that this site maintain be logically organized and maintain a consistent feel throughout. With multiple authors, this can be a challenge. Please consult with your fellow students and agree on a basic structure before adding a whole bunch of new pages.
